It is important to note that when using https, ensure that a valid SSL certificate is in place or imported before utilizing the application.
The application creates thumbnails and stores them locally on the device, which is particularly beneficial for quickly accessing recently taken photos, for instance, from a holiday trip.
By caching thumbnails, the app reduces bandwidth consumption compared to loading the original images, resulting in quicker loading times.
